Oakley

Oakley prescription lenses are made of pure Plutonite and are available in 19 different colors including 7 Polarized options and 6 Iridium coating options. The Oakley Prescription lens is the best selection for consumers who like to be outdoors. While in its liquid state, color is added to the lens resulting in a dark sunglass that will not fade. The Plutonite material is also lighter, thinner, and more impact resistant then other prescription lenses on the market and provides 100% UV protection for the wearer. You can order lenses for your newest prescription frame or for any Oakley ophthalmic frame. Also, almost the entire line of Oakley sunglass frames can be processed by the Oakley lab to be custom made with your prescription. If you are a serious athlete there are also M Frame options that can be custom made to incorporate your prescription into the lens.

Maui Jim

Island Origins: In the early 1980's, a small company began selling sunglasses on the beautiful beaches of Maui, Hawaii. However, the sunglasses quickly proved to be no match for the Hawaiian sun's severe glare and harmful ultra-violet rays. Everyone wanted sunglasses that would eliminate glare without distorting the beautiful colors of the island scenery. Since no other sunglasses on the market could meet this specialized need, the company developed their own.

One Patient, Seven Styles: With an original line of seven sunglass styles and PolarizedPlus technology, maui Jim was born. In fact, PolarizedPlus was so unique that it was soon patented. Sadly for everyone but the Maui resident and island visitor, the sunglasses were exclusively sold in maui, Hawaii.

Then - a ray of hope for sun enthusiasts everywhere. In 1991, the company was purchased by Hester Enterprises, and in 1994 Hester enlisted RLI Vision Corporation of Peoria, Illinois to be the mainland distributor of Maui Jim Sunglasses for the ophthalmic market.

Maui Jim, Inc. was established in December 1996 when maui Jim Sunglasses acquired RLI Vsion. This provided the capital and infrastructure needed to accommodate the phenomenal sales growth of maui Jim Sunglasses within the premium sunwear business.

Now with over 50 styles and 100 SKUs, Maui Jim, Inc is the fastest growing polarized sunglass maker in the world.
